Just in: We’re still on strike, says NLC
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has dismissed a report making the round that it has called off the nationwide workers’ strike.
The NLC said its organs would meet today (Tuesday) to decide on the outcome of the meeting it held with the Federal Government team on Monday night.
The NLC posted this latest reaction on X Tuesday, stating: “Until we hear from Our Organs at our (a) meeting scheduled for today, 4th June, we are still on strike.”
The Federal Government and the organised labour on Monday night reached an agreement that might end the ongoing strike.
The labour embarked on an indefinite strike on Monday morning to push for a new minimum wage for workers.
