Ekiti–The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has urged members of staff to adhere strictly to the core values of the commission while carrying out their duties.

The newly appointed INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner for Ekiti State, Dr Bunm Omoseyindemi, gave this charge on Wednesday while admonishing the staff.

The REC emphasised the importance of integrity, trust and team work.

While welcoming the REC to the state, the Administrative Secretary of the Commission in Ekiti, Mr. Adedapo Aderibigbe on behalf of the management and staff promised the REC unalloyed cooperation and support throughout his tenure as REC, Ekiti State.

Shadanpamareporters report that Omoseyindemi, a thoroughbred health care consultant with vast experience in orthodox and traditional medicine, was one time Chairman Lagos State Traditional Medicine Board and later Commissioner at the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) hails from Epe.

Omoseyindemi had his secondary education at the Abeokuta Grammar School, Abeokuta and the prestigious Adeola Odutola College, Ijebu Ode for his Higher School Certificate (HSC).
He obtained his M.B.B.S. from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos in 1985 and M.A. in African Studies, from the Institute of African Studies, University of Ibadan (1996 – 1997, with emphasis on Ethno medicine.

He also attended the University College, London, where he obtained a Certificate in Anthropological Perspective on Global Health in 2014.

Shadanpamareporters recalls that Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, the INEC Chairman has during the inauguration of the nine (9) newly appointed RECs urged them to maintain the Commission’s established practice of regular consultation with the key stakeholders.

Shadanpamareporters reports that these stakeholders include political parties, civil Slsocieties, the media, traditional institutions, religious bodies ànd security agencies.
