We anticipate great exploits, APC Nat’l youth leader tells new Ministers

The APC National Youth Leader, Hon. Dayo Israel, says youths are proud of the newly sworn-in Minister of Youth Development, Dr Jamila Ibrahim and Minister of State for Youth, Mr Ayodele Olawande.

Israel, in an open letter of congratulation to the duo on Monday evening in Lagos, said that the youth anticipated great exploits from them as they serve Nigerian youths.

“Let me begin by extending my most sincere congratulations to you on your nomination, confirmation and now swearing in – to steer the ship of youth development for the Federal Government of Nigeria.

“Our party and the nation are proud of you and anticipate great exploit from you both.

“You have come into this office at such a peculiar time, to serve in the cabinet of one of the most phenomenal President in the history of Nigeria.

“I pray that the Almighty bestow you the wisdom to manage the affairs of that office,” Israel said.

The youth leader, who commended President’s son, Mr Seyi Tinubu for discovering and supporting both ministers.

“His (Seyi) eye for talent in discovering and nominating you both to represent the voice of our generation in the cabinet must be commended,” he said.

Israel said that Seyi had become a major ally of the youth and “to his credit we are grateful for the appointments.”

According to him, Seyi is also instrumental to the appointments of many other youths into the cabinet like Charles Odii, Moremi Ojudu, Yinusa Abiodun Muftau, Segun Dada, Abiodun Essiet, and Atika Ajanah.

He said others included Yetunde Adeniji and others too numerous to mention who have gotten a seat at the table in the villa/Presidency due to his influence and advocacy.

Israel assured the new ministers of necessary support from APC youth wing to help them achieve their goals and aspirations.

He said: “Honourable Ministers, the time is now to renew the hope of our youth.

“As your leader, and that of our over 10million young members of the APC, you can be assured of my commitment and that of the youth wing of the party to provide you any support you may require from our side of the aisle – The Party.

“Collectively, we can transform the lives of our youth and make it more meaningful as they pursue their individual aspirations.”

Israel recounted that prior to his emergence as the APC national youth leader, he had spent over spent 20years of his life or more in youth advocacy service as Youth Ambassador to the UN, Special Representative of the YTI to United Nation in New York.

He added that he had also served as Commonwealth Youth Champion, British Council Global Change-maker and many more, pioneering many youth initiatives locally.

“Please feel free to reach out anytime to tap into these knowledge and be assured of my commitment to your success.

“I can assure you that the youths of Nigeria will give you both our total support and help you succeed because your success is that of our generation.

“I wish you both and other young appointees the best in your service to our Nation and look forward to collaborating with you in improving the livelihood of the Progressive and Nigerian Youth,” he said.

President Tinubu earlier on Monday swore in three additional ministers into his 48-member cabinet.

The new ministers that took the oath of office earlier today included Ibrahim, a 37 year old medical doctor and Olawande, a 34 year old community development expert, as Minister of Youth Development and Minister of Youth for State respective.
