1st anniversary: Councillor organises Quiz Competition to celebrate Tinubu
The Majority Leader, Agboyi-Ketu Legislative Council, Hon. Bashir Saheed Omogbolahan better known as Elewedu in his personal capacity, organized a quiz competition for public primary schools in Agboyi-Ketu LCDA to celebrate President Bola Tinubu’s first anniversary in office.
The quiz competition was held at Agboyi-Ketu Area Office, Ketu, with two pupils from each of participating schools- a male and female- competing in various subjects including English Language, Mathematics and Current Affairs.
Speaking at the event, the organiser, Councillor Bashir Saheed explained that the essence of the program was to encourage young ones to take their education seriously in order to understand that their future is assured with education.
He further noted that identifying with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was as a result of the huge investment the present federal government is placing on education.
Also speaking, the Vice-chairman, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mrs. Folake Kayode being decorated as ‘Face of Education ‘ by the initiator, urged pupils across the LCDA to remain versatile in understanding the current happenings in the country.
She counseled them that education remains the cardinal path to make them successful in life.
At the end of the quiz competition, Orisigun Primary School emerged victorious with the participation of Master Suleiman Habeeb and Miss Eze Chidera, while Baptist Primary School came second and Ajelogo Primary School emerged third.
