Shepherd Group of Schools holds End of the Year/Xmas Carol

Ikoyi– The Shepherd Group of Schools on Tuesday held a fun- filled End of the Year/Xmas Carol for all categories of pulpils in the school at Ikoyi, Osun State.

Shadanpamaeporters report that it was a happy moment and fun galore for the pupils and teachers of Shepherd Group of Schools at the end of the year and Christmas Carol organised for them by the school management.

The Proprietor of the school, Mr Oluwagbemiga Oriowo expressed his joy for holding the event which he described as a period to show love to everyone in order to make the society a better place.

Oriowo said: Christmas is the spirit of giving without thinking of getting back. It forgetting self and finding time for others.

“Christmas is the perfect time to celebrate the love of God and create memories that will last forever. ”

Oriowo used the event to appreciate, Mr Agede Fidelis Nsebeki, a Youth Corps member posted to the school for his contribution to the school.

Responding, Agede thanked God for his sustenance throughout his one year compulsory service to the nation

According to him, one of the remarkable moments during his primary assignment in Sherperd Group of Schools, was that fact that he had been able to impact the pupils positively.

“It is remarkable that I am living some of the students better than I have met them. This gives me a greater joy for contributing to the growth of these students.

“My prayer is to see them in higher positions in future and thank God to be among those who shaped their future for the best,” the corps member said.

He said that his plan for the future was to get some funds to set up his own business that would have a positive impact on the society.

Agede thanked the Federal Government for the establishment of National Youth Service Scheme (NYSC), without which, he said, he might not have the opportunity to come to Ikoyi at the time he came.

He described the Ikoyi people as loving and caring.

In her contribution, Mrs Oluwayemisi Oriowo, the Principal of the school thanked God for granting them the opportunity to celebrate this year Christmas Carol.

Mrs Oriowo appreciated the members of staff of the school for their cooperation, dedication and taking good care of the pupils morally and academically.

She charged the pupils to be God fearing and show love to others, “Above all all pupils should be a good ambassador of the school”.

 

Highlights of the event include renditions of various Christmas Carol songs, choreography, special songs and dance by both students and teachers to entertain their guests.

A guest of honour and CEO/Founder of Shadanpama Grassroots Initiative, Mr Femi Akinbiyi, offered some words of prayers for the pupils, management and staff.

Akinbiyi wished the students, teachers and management staff a wonderful Christmas that would usher them into their moment of glory and and speedy growth for the school in the New year 2024.
