The Ile-tuntun Community of Ido local government area has canvassed the support of its sons and daughters in an effort to enhance infrastructural growth in the town.
The spokesperson for the planning committee, ‘Muyiwa Apara, in a statement made available to the newsmen in Ibadan on Tuesday said that the ancient town has slated Saturday December 14, 2024 for the special launching to raise funds for the execution of various developmental projects in the town.
Apara said that the Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Chief Sherif Adeojo, would be the chief launcher of the day while he would be joined by Hon. Tunji Lam Adeshina and Adeshina Kadiri as co-launchers.
He added that other dignitaries that would grace the occasion include the chief host of the day, Engr. Okunneye Olasunkanmi and host councillor Hon. Adebowale Adedeji while Chief Oyebola is expected to be Father of the Day.
Apara said that the money realised would be channelled towards execution of various projects and programmes that will have positive impacts on the lives of the people of the ancient community.
“We are seeking the support from eminent sons and daughters of the community and well-meaning Nigerians to raise funds for infrastructural development and socio-economic growth of Ile-Titun.
“The launching is expected to set Ile-Titun community on a new pathway to development, “he said.
Apara noted that some prominent Ile-Titun indigenes would be given special recognitions for their immense contribution to the development of the community.
