Armed robbers raid banks in Kogi, kill policemen
Armed robbers on Thursday evening raided the branches of First Bank and Access Bank in Anyigba, Kogi State, killing 2 policemen and carted away with large sums of money.
There were also reports that a trader was killed inside one of the banks.
This was the second time armed robbers would raid banks in the town this year. The first robbery was on Jan. 5, 2024.An eyewitness account, said the fully armed robbers stormed the two banks at the same time and started sporadic shooting.
The number of casualties is yet to be confirmed.
The Kogi State Police Command has not also confirmed the incident.
