ANJET lauds appointment of new NIHOTOUR D-G
The Association of Nigerian Journalists and Writers of Tourism (ANJET) has lauded the appointment of Dr Abisoye Fagade as the new Director-General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism (NIHOTOUR).
ANJET, in a statement on Saturday, noted that the appointment birthed a new era of growth, innovation, and excellence in Nigeria’s tourism and hospitality industry.
“We heartily congratulate Fagade on his well-deserved appointment.
“We anticipate a significant transformation in the industry under his leadership,” ANJET stated.
ANJET advised Fagade to prioritise collaborations with the private sector, aligning with the Federal Government’s efforts to diversify the economy and position tourism as a key driver for economic growth.
“With Fagade’s expertise and commitment, we expect NIHOTOUR to drive sustainable tourism initiatives, enhance industry capacity, and professionalism through various skills and learning engagements in line with international practice.
“ANJET wishes Fagade success in his new role and looks forward to collaborating with him to advance Nigeria’s tourism sector.”
President Bola Tinubu announced Fagade’s appointment on Thursday.
Fagade is a seasoned Marketing Communication professional and founder of Sodium Brand Solutions.
