The Nigerian Books of Record has appointed female talking drummer Aralola Olamuyiwa as its cultural ambassador.

 

 

 

Olumuyiwa took to her Facebook page on Saturday to disclose this, with a display of the appointment letter.

 

 

 

She said “🎉 Grateful & Honoured! 🏆. I’m beyond excited to share that I’ve been recognised with the position of Cultural Ambassador of the @Nigerianbooksofrecord.

 

 

 

“It is a true privilege to be part of such an incredible journey, and this award represents the hard work, dedication, and passion that has brought me here.

 

 

 

“Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way, my amazing team, family, friends, and mentors. Your encouragement means the world to me. 💫

 

 

 

“This is just the beginning! Looking forward to continuing the journey and achieving even more together.”

 

 

 

The letter read: “We are delighted to appoint you as the Cultural Ambassador of the Nigerian Books of Record (NBR), recognising your outstanding contributions to promoting Nigerian heritage, culture, and artistic excellence.

 

 

 

“Your exceptional talent as Africa’s first female talking drummer, songwriter, entertainer, choreographer, singer, producer, and philanthropist has made you a shining example of Nigerian creativity and innovation.

 

 

 

“Your dedication to preserving and projecting Nigerian culture through music and your iconic talking drum has inspired countless individuals.”
